Nick Leonardi is Manager of Content Strategy at Foundation, and he brings a unique skill blend of strategy and creative execution to the team. Having worked in digital agencies (and as a freelance consultant) for over 13 years, he is an experienced strategist known for elevating his clients’ brands on the world stage. And because Nick has partnered with B2B and B2C clients in a variety of verticals, he leverages his diverse background to offer a fresh perspective on every project.
Nick is also a huge believer in human-centered design, focusing first on the people his clients are trying to reach. He’s constantly saying, “Talk to your customers—they’ll tell you what they want.” Using those insights, he and his team craft world-class strategies not only to inform but to provide a roadmap for success. What’s usually playing in your headphones?
You name it and it’s on my playlist. From Aretha to Kendrick, Whitney to Heart, Steve Winwood to Judas Priest, I love it all. Just no new country.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little, I was obsessed with the butcher shop around the corner. For years that’s all I ever wanted to be. Now I’m a vegetarian—go figure.
What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?
Hiking with my wife and boys in the woods or reading science fiction novels. I’m easy.
What is your hidden talent?
I create jingles for everything—so many in fact, that I’ve caught my kids, my wife, and my friends all singing different songs I’ve written. “Annoying but catchy” is a glowing endorsement in my book.
