We work with ambitious global brands, and we’re scaling fast. We operate asynchronously across time zones, move quickly, and hold ourselves to a high standard of craft and accountability.

Why This Role Exists

Paid Media has become a critical lever for our clients' growth — and we're building it into a fully-owned, revenue-generating function at Foundation. This role exists because we're ready to stop treating Paid as an add-on and start operating it as a standalone business unit. We need someone who can own it: define the offer, build the team, win the clients, and deliver the results.

  • Prefers to own outcomes rather than execute tasks, and builds systems that work without them in the room

  • Need significant structure, defined processes, or close day-to-day oversight to operate effectively
  • Are most comfortable executing paid campaigns rather than building and owning the function around them
  • Avoid accountability for revenue, margins, or client outcomes
  • Expect a narrow, specialist role without business development or leadership responsibility

What You'll Be Responsible For

This role owns the Paid Media function as a standalone business unit — from strategy and delivery to revenue and team growth.

Client & Revenue Ownership
  • Own Paid Media strategy and outcomes across a portfolio of B2B client accounts
  • Design full-funnel paid programs tied to MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue
  • Bring in new Paid Media clients directly and support paid-led sales motions
  • Identify and scope upsell and expansion opportunities across existing accounts
  • Define Paid Media offers, pricing, and engagement models
  • Own revenue growth, margin, and profitability for the Paid Media function

Team & Systems
  • Build and lead the Paid Media team as revenue justifies (strategists, specialists, contractors)
  • Own hiring, onboarding, and performance expectations for Paid Media roles
  • Establish SOPs, QA standards, and delivery frameworks that allow Paid Media to scale
  • Define clear swimlanes across Paid, Creative, Content/SEO, and Account teams
  • Implement reporting systems, dashboards, and forecasting models used by leadership and clients

What Success Looks Like:

After 3–6 months, success looks like
  • Paid Media operating as a scalable, profitable business unit
  • Clear, repeatable Paid Media offers with predictable delivery and margins
  • Consistent pipeline and revenue contribution from Paid Media
  • Strong client retention and expansion driven by paid performance
  • A growing Paid Media team operating with minimal executive oversight
  • Clear visibility into Paid Media performance, forecasting, and profitability

What You Bring:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Paid Media / Performance Marketing
  • Strong B2B and SaaS experience (agency or in-house)
  • Proven experience managing significant ad spend profitably ($500K+ annually)
  • Experience building or leading teams
  • Strong business acumen; you think in terms of margins, leverage, and scalability
  • Comfort owning ambiguity and making decisions without a playbook
  • Strong client presence and ability to lead strategic conversations

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in Higher Education or Enterprise B2B
  • HubSpot partner experience and strong CRM/attribution knowledge
  • Reddit Ads or non-traditional paid channels
  • Experience integrating Paid Media with content, SEO, and lifecycle marketing

Location, Timezone & Work Setup

  • Work Setup: Fully remote
  • Primary Target Location: Canada Candidates outside these regions may be considered only if experience is exceptional and working hours align.
  • Senior leadership role with high autonomy and accountability
