SAAS CASE STUDY
Steal Cloudinary’s SEO Playbook Worth $2B
When I first heard the name “Cloudinary” two weeks ago, I became curious to learn more about the brand, mostly because it sounded a lot like the word dictionary.
After doing some digging, I found the similarity: While a dictionary helps you understand the meaning of different unfamiliar (and familiar) words, Cloudinary helps its audience understand image- and video-related words.
As a result, the company has gained the trust of millions of independent and in-house developers from companies such as Atlassian, Chegg, and Etsy.
Cloudinary has also attracted a total funding of $100,000,000 over four rounds, including one from Blackstone that pushed Cloudinary’s valuation to a whopping $2 billion.
But as we know, people can’t buy what they aren’t aware of, which is where Cloudinary’s visibility strategy comes in.
In our latest case study, I break down two major SEO strategies the company used to gain visibility, rank for competitive keywords with helpful resources, and gain the trust of millions of customers.

B2B SAAS TIPS
How To Network at Events (For Introverts)
Many introverts often struggle to strike up conversations with new people at events, especially when social anxiety comes into play. Plus, the noise, crowds, and bright lights can be draining, making it difficult to interact for long periods and truly connect with others.
However, despite these challenges, introverts bring unique strengths to the table, such as being great listeners, asking insightful questions, and diving deeper into conversations.
But this can only happen if we know what to do to turn off the doubting voice in our head and how to enjoy the moment, create memories, and make great business connections. That’s what Ross covers in his latest episode: He offers tips on how to connect with people even when you feel shy.

🧠 This Week’s Brain Food
Everyone loves to feel valued and appreciated.
Whether it’s a coworker, employee, or leader in an organization, no one likes to feel like their efforts and contributions don’t count.
Survey Monkey found that 82% of employees are happier when they are appreciated. This means employers, managers, or supervisors stand a better chance of retaining top talent when they show appreciation to employees or direct reports.
So, how do you show employees you value and appreciate their efforts?
First, find out how they’d prefer to be appreciated.
If you’ve read “The 5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman, you should know that everyone has a primary way they’d prefer their partner to express love to them.
The best way to find out your direct reports’ or employees’ preferred appreciation language is to ask them directly. You can ask questions like:
- Would you prefer to be appreciated through positive verbal or written compliments?
- Would you feel more valued if we offered to reduce your workload or add special perks?
- Do team games, more time with loved ones, or other quality activities help you feel more valued?
- Do you consider bonuses, gift cards, or something tangible enough appreciation?
It’s important to ask these questions, then let employees choose the option that appeals to them, and they should describe the option they select in detail so you can learn how best to express appreciation to them. Little acts go a long way in showing you value them.
