James is VP of Strategy at Foundation. For more than 10 years, James has helped businesses grow through inbound marketing — first in-house at a tech startup in Vancouver and more recently in the agency space, where he led the content strategies for businesses like monday.com, Activecampaign, Smartsheet, Hims and more. 

With a genuine love for merit-based business growth, James relies on an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to succeed with content marketing alongside a passion for bucking the trend and finding creative paths to growth.

What is usually playing in your headphones?

Folk like Hollow Coves and Riley Pierce throughout the day. Something instrumental or even noise-canceling when I have to really pay attention.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I honestly can’t remember. My childhood is a blur of sand castles and unwise tree climbing. I’ve always had a bit of a “que sera” thing going.

What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?

I absolutely love going to a brewery with friends and trying new, interesting beers.

What is your hidden talent?

I’m pretty good at throwing a frisbee. I can usually make a forehand, backhand, overhead/hammer go where I want it to.
