Jessica Everitt
Jessica is the Senior Director of Content Production at Foundation. Jessica has a diverse background in writing, editing, process improvement, project management, and finance. She loves to combine these skills to optimize our content quality and production processes so that we can exceed client expectations, or ‘bring the guac,’ as Foundationites love to say.
Jessica has over five years of experience working with clients to produce more than 400 high-quality, long-form pieces of content each month, achieving thousands of first page rankings, and in some cases, growing organic traffic by more than 80% month over month.
Jessica is a life-long learner, always looking for new and better ways to do things and for improvement opportunities in her professional and personal life. At present, she’s struggling to become fluent in French (currently at the intermediate level) and slowly learning how to play guitar.
Here’s a brief taste of Jessica’s personality:
What is usually playing in your headphones?
It really depends on what I’m doing. I love listening to classical or jazz music while I work. I prefer pop or rock while I’m doing housework or puttering around in the garden. My daughter and I both love Imagine Dragons, so we listen to them a lot when we’re spending time together.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve always loved animals, so I thought I’d be a veterinarian when I grew up. But when I was 15, my parents (wisely) convinced me to volunteer at an animal hospital. I realized there were downsides to the job that I would struggle to deal with on a day-to-day basis (like how emotionally draining it is to support a family while they say goodbye to a beloved pet that you’re unable to save).
What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?
I love spending time with my husband and our kids, and I thrive on being active and productive. Going for a walk or hike with the family, spending time together taking care of the garden, baking, or tackling a home-improvement project are ideal days off for me.
What is your hidden talent?
I’m a really fast reader. I can finish a decent-sized novel in a day if it’s really good. I also always win when my husband and I play Puerto Rico or Agricola. But he crushes me every time we try backgammon, so my talent doesn’t extend to all board games.
What is one of your favourite quotes?
There are so many it’s hard to choose! I think mindset has a lot to do with fulfillment and success, so I’d have to say these are two of my favourites:
