Mackenzie joined Foundation as an Account Manager after nearly 10 years of working in various roles in the Marketing industry.

She has had the good fortune to work with clients from all different niches, from holistic business coaches to world-famous music producers and everything in between. One of Mackenzie’s favourite things about agency work is being able to explore new interests that she may not have otherwise had the chance to discover.

Despite most of her experience being in social media roles, Mackenzie has always had an admiration for and has been drawn to the “people” side of marketing. She finds joy and thrives the most in developing and fostering relationships within her roles.

Mackenzie is eager to help grow Foundation and their client roster while learning from her fellow brilliant Foundationites!

Here’s a brief taste of Mackenzie’s personality:

What is usually playing in your headphones?

It really depends on my mood, but when working you can often find me listening to a calming, lyric-less Spotify playlist (is it finally okay to admit to enjoying jazz?). Otherwise, give me R&B, indie-folk, or a good throwback (of almost any genre), and I’m all set!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid, I really wanted to be a doctor. No idea where that came from, but my family fully leaned into it by getting me a toy doctor’s cart and a drawing of me with the caption “M.D.M.D — Mackenzie Douglas, Medical Doctor”. After a while I realized I’m not that great with gore, so here I (happily) am!

What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?

I love a good hike, painting, baking, reading, and melting into my couch while watching suspenseful shows (anywhere from Haunting of Hill House to any Bravo franchise — I’m not picky).

What is your hidden talent?

I’ve been told that I’m a really talented painter! I don’t do anything too fancy, but I am pretty proud of my last few pieces, even if I did take inspo from other art on Pinterest!

What is one of your favourite quotes?

One of my friends once said, “You can’t mess up something that’s meant for you”, and that has entirely changed my outlook and level of self-compassion.
