Whenever I find it hard to learn something new, I turn to the Feynman Technique. This method involves explaining a concept to someone else as if you were teaching it to a child.
Early this year, I applied it to a complex technical article (ASC 606 and IFRS 15), and the results were surprising. I realized I could only simplify and explain the core concepts once I had truly grasped them.
The process forced me to break down the information, identify knowledge gaps, and seek clearer explanations.
Remember that old saying, “Those who can’t do, teach”? Applying the Feynman Technique taught me a new twist to that old idea: “Those who want to understand, teach.”
