SAAS CASE STUDY
How BambooHR Created Thought Leadership with Its HR Glossary
BambooHR is a major player in the HR technology industry. However, until recently, the company struggled to increase its online traffic. But then, something changed.
BambooHR implemented a new content strategy, and within the first few months of 2023, their website traffic exploded, growing by a whopping 31% compared to last year’s average. Not only that, but they also established themselves as thought leaders in the industry.
So, what did they do to achieve this success?
Well, they created an HR Glossary.
It may not sound like much, but it was a game-changer for BambooHR. Glossary pages allowed them to define common industry terms, and by covering enough terms with professional quality, they became the standard for the HR industry.
In just ten days, BambooHR published over 300 new pages under its HR Glossary. And the results were almost immediate. The glossary pages generate most of its organic traffic—13 of the site’s top 20 pages are from the glossary.
My colleague, Chris Meabe, breaks down BambooHR’s glossary strategy, including tips on how to create or scale yours. Read the full case study here.

BRAIN FOOD OF THE WEEK:
Have you ever wondered what a flexible work schedule means for remote teams?
It means that you and your team have the freedom to choose when and where you work, while ensuring everyone remains productive—without negatively impacting your company’s goals or the quality of client deliverables.
A flexible work schedule helps to improve work-life balance, reduce stress, and boost overall morale, which ultimately leads to higher productivity and better results.
Encourage your team to design their schedules and communicate any changes proactively with the rest of the team. This will keep everyone in the loop, and make it easy to fill any gaps that may arise due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
