🧠 This Week’s Brain Food 🧠
The other day, I watched a YouTuber review some of his oldest videos — all the way back to 2006. He talked about how growing his passion into a career involved two brave leaps: doing the thing and then making it good.
A lot of people don’t even really start doing the thing they want. Sure, they might make a few videos or pick up an instrument, but they don’t dedicate themselves to it in the way they would their careers. They don’t take it seriously.
But even among those who take that first step seriously, there’s an even smaller group that invests in themselves to make their work professional grade. In the case of this YouTuber, that involved getting professional makeup and recording equipment. That’s a big scary step if you aren’t sure how much money your next project is going to bring in, but it’s absolutely necessary if you want to make your passion into something larger.
