🧠 This Week’s Brain Food 🧠
Experience matters a lot, both in academics and in practical fields like marketing. During my fifth year in MTH 502 (Metric Space Topology) class, I had a memorable discussion about infinity with a favorite lecturer.
I confidently shared and argued incorrect assumptions, but he patiently explained and introduced advanced concepts I hadn’t encountered.
Despite my challenges and questions, he graciously recommended further reading. As I explored these materials, I realized how superficial my understanding was and how accurate his stances had been.
That day, I learned two invaluable lessons: first, knowledge is vast, and there’s always room to learn more; second, humility is key when engaging with those who have greater experience or expertise.
