B2B SaaS UPDATE
Reddit Makes Another Move to Boost Ad Revenue
Reddit has made pretty strategic alliances in recent times.
Earlier this year, the company acquired Spell—a SaaS AI platform to make better content and community recommendations for its users and ad targeting for marketers. Reddit also bought MeaningCloud to better understand unstructured content so it can provide more relevant content for users. These acquisitions contribute to making Reddit more appealing to advertisers and increasing ad revenue.
Recently, Reddit made another move to learn more about its audience, improve its ad targeting tools, and boost ad revenue. The company acquired Spiketrap for an undisclosed amount. This move is pretty great, considering Apple’s consumer privacy tools impacting digital ad experience across social networks and Google phasing out third-party cookies.
All three acquisitions make Reddit better positioned to surpass its previous ad revenue. In 2021, the company saw a 150% year-over-year growth in ad revenue from 2020:
With these acquisitions, we’re ready to see another massive leap by the end of this year.
In case you are unfamiliar with Spiketrap, the audience contextualization tool uses an AI-powered algorithm to help brands better understand how to engage their audience. By uniting all three acquisitions, Reddit plans to help advertisers identify relevant discussions and communities they can target and get more ROI from their efforts.
Marketers can benefit from Reddit’s 100,000 active communities and drive company growth, especially those who understand its best practices. You should read this piece if you still struggle to use Reddit to drive results for your SaaS product.

B2B CONTENT DISTRIBUTION
6 Distribution Misconceptions That Ruin Conversions
The one mistake most content marketing teams make every year is allowing existing content to collect dust while churning out more pieces.
These brands pump more resources into brainstorming new ideas, developing them into content pieces, hitting publish, and doing a little victory dance once the article goes live. Then they distribute links on social media a few times and repeat the process for the next shiny idea.
The problem here is that these teams lose tons of relationship- and revenue-generating opportunities, taking a reactive approach to content distribution.
Content distribution goes beyond publishing and hoping the right people stumble on your content and move down the pipeline. A single piece of content repurposed the right way and repeatedly shared across different distribution channels can generate hundreds of thousands of dollars of ROI through revenue and relationships.
That’s the power of content distribution.
We identified and debunked six content distribution misconceptions to help you fully embrace and unleash the power of distribution for your pieces.
Here are some key takeaways from the piece:
- Invest 75% of your resources into repurposing blog content into native content for your primary social channel(s) and distributing consistently.
- Leverage social selling like Dreamdata if you have a small budget
- Instead of replicating the same content format across platforms, you should repurpose your content into different formats to fit each channel.
- Make redistributing older content a part of your strategy.
- Promote relevant content shamelessly.
- You can scale with distribution. All you need is a solid distribution plan that goes beyond link dumps on social media.
You should read the full piece to identify misconceptions that may be holding your product or service back from generating more qualified leads and conversions.

BRAIN FOOD OF THE WEEK:
Health is wealth, they say. But how mindful are we of our health?
Every week, we have so many deadlines to meet. It’s either a meeting or a document or a draft or whatever. There’s always something we need to get done ASAP.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in the day’s hustle that we forget to catch a breath and relax. Some of us live on takeout and fast food. Some schedule time to go to the gym, but they snooze the alarm the next morning or jump into their inbox to respond to messages. It’s like going on a roller coaster that never stops.
The truth is we are only as effective as our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. No matter how much work you have to do, you should apply balance so your relationships and health don’t suffer.
As you take a break this time of the year, draw up a new plan for your life. Set goals that prioritize growth and stability in the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical aspects of your life, as well as financial and the relationships in your life. Prioritize balance.
