7 AI Tools To Speed Up Content Creation

Free Content

Creating high-quality content quickly and at scale can be overwhelming and time-consuming, especially with tight deadlines and a constant demand for engaging ideas. And, let’s face it, there are only so many hours in a day.

Fortunately, AI tools are here to assist and speed up the content creation process; they are not meant to replace your job as a marketer, but rather, to enhance your abilities. Plus, if you possess exceptional prompt engineering and editing skills, you have a greater chance of producing high-quality content in a shorter amount of time. Writers using AI tools can even outperform content written just by humans.

With 250 major vendors of AI tools to choose from, you may find it challenging to determine which ones are the best for your needs. To simplify your search, we have curated a list of six AI tools that can significantly enhance your content creation process.

Let’s dive into each tool and explore what makes it an excellent addition to your tech stack.

1. ChatGPT

What it does: ChatGPT has been making headlines ever since it was released as the leading AI chatbot. You already know all about ChatGPT—or at least, you think you do. But you might be surprised to learn that it isn’t the best tool for content marketers. No, really! Let me explain.

Advantages: ChatGPT is a great tool if you have a very specific prompt you can provide, or when you need to generate a high volume of ideas quickly. It has a high range of other capabilities, and is almost limitless in what it can write if given the right prompts.

Disadvantages: That openness is also its greatest weakness. Many people don’t know how to fully take advantage of everything ChatGPT can do. The result is the mediocre, obviously AI-generated, content you’ve likely run into already.

Takeaway: ChatGPT is very powerful, but not perfect for content writers. Other tools do more to guide you as you use AI, allowing you to focus on creating great content as quickly as possible.

2. Jasper.ai

Remember when I said that other tools do more to guide you through the content creation process? Jasper is a great example of that.

What it does: Jasper has an AI chat function, just like ChatGPT. But it does far more to cater to content creators. Jasper also has a document editor, templates for different kinds of writing, and other writing tools.

Advantages: Jasper’s writer-focused features help writers create great content easily. By specifying a “brand voice” in the tool, you can automatically give a series of specific instructions about diction, style, and other factors to guide how the AI writes. Jasper also includes features that let you give it commands, build out templates for it, and finish your sentence for you if you get stuck. I just had it finish that one for me!

Disadvantages: Like all AI tools, Jasper still requires some prompt engineering. Not all of its templates are perfect, and it may take more than one try for you to get the results you’re looking for.

Takeaway: Jasper is a tool that takes the potential of ChatGPT and harnesses it to the specific needs of content marketers. It’s especially useful for people who want to make longform content at a high volume but with a human-level standard of quality.

3. Promptly.Pro

What it does: AI content creation tools need prompts to get started. That’s why some companies are offering six-figure salaries for the best prompt engineers. But prompt engineering doesn’t need to be complicated, and that’s where Promptly.Pro comes in. Promptly.Pro modifies your original prompt to something that will produce an image that might be closer to what you had originally imagined.

Advantages: Promptly.Pro gives you ten free credits to try it out when you make a new account. Unlike many more-popular, free AI tools, it isn’t swamped with too many users to work. It does a good job of making highly specific prompts even with the most generic inputs.

Disadvantages: That specificity comes at a cost. Promptly.Pro sometimes makes up details that you didn’t offer in your original prompt; theymay not be in line with your vision. It’s also a very basic website: it has no support or contact information, and its “About” page still uses lorem ipsum text.

Takeaway: Promptly.Pro can be useful if you’re having trouble making great prompts, but you can get the same functionality from asking other tools like ChatGPT to improve your prompts. Ultimately, it’s useful for some people, but not completely necessary.

4. ChatSpot.AI

What it does: In March of 2023, Hubspot rolled out ChatSpot.AI. Its release was hailed by leading marketers as an important step in the development of AI for B2B marketing teams. It’s an AI tool that works within Hubspot to complete a wide range of marketing tasks.

Advantages: There are a few distinguishing features that make ChatSpot.AI stand out. The first and most obvious is its integration with Hubspot. With ChatSpot.AI, you can automate manually-intensive Hubspot tasks. For example, you can create a high volume of Hubspot contacts at once by instructing ChatSpot.AI to do it for you. It can also analyze and summarize Hubspot data, identify leads you haven’t contacted yet, and send follow-up emails on your behalf.

Disadvantages: ChatSpot.AI only works within Hubspot, so if you use a different CRM, or have multiple tools taking that space, ChatSpot.AI won’t be as useful to you.

Takeaway: If you’re already a Hubspot user, you should absolutely give ChatSpot.AI a spin. If not, it’s still worth trying out a demo just to see how it could affect how you use your CRM.

5. Hemingway Editor

What it does: Most of these AI tools have been focused on writing, but Hemingway can help you edit as well. Hemingway is an AI-powered writing tool that simplifies your content creation process. It scans your text for redundancies, confusing phrases, and other potential issues, then recommends fixes so you can quickly turn out polished copy.

Advantages: Hemingway helps solve one of the important problems of AI-powered writing: human limitation. An AI writer in the hands of a poor human writer won’t produce great content. But Hemingway can help punch it up to the next level.

The editor also has a built-in grammar and spellchecker to help you publish your work error free. Another useful feature is its reading level report, which tells you how complicated and hard to read your work is.  That way, you know exactly how comprehensible your content is to an average reader.

Disadvantages: Hemingway lacks some features that could be helpful for editing, such as brand voice, tone, or format settings. That means it won’t differentiate between editing a post and a novel, which could mean that some of its suggestions aren’t ideal.

Takeaway: Overall, Hemingway Editor is a great AI tool for quickly editing and polishing your writing, so it’s more impactful and professional looking. Give the free version a try to see how it can help you create better content.

6. Copyleaks

What it does: Copyleaks offers two important features for marketers looking to speed up their process: AI detection and plagiarism detection.  Its AI detection tool scans a website or text for any form of AI-generated content, and its plagiarism detector searches the web for similar content and flags anything it finds.

Advantages: AI detection and plagiarism detection are very important for marketers doing AI-assisted writing. With AI detection, you can be sure that your work has enough of a human touch that others won’t mistake it as machine-made. Plagiarism detection ensures that you don’t accidentally publish someone else’s work without giving them credit. Plus, the scanner works across multiple languages, so you can check international websites as well.

Disadvantages: Some users find the service to be overpriced, so it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth it to you or not.

Takeaway: Overall, Copyleaks does a great job of helping you create unique and original content quickly and without any hassle. Try it out to see how it could help streamline your process even further.

7. Content at Scale

screenshot of content at scale

What is does: Content at Scale is an SEO-focused, long-form writing tool that caters to content creators and marketers. Within minutes you’ll have a well-researched, well-written, 3000-word blog post from just a single keyword input – no prompt engineering required. And you can edit, optimize and publish all in one place.

Advantages: Content at Scale is a complete content marketing tool that helps agencies, entrepreneurs, and marketers produce hundreds of blog posts each month with minimal human editing. Each draft comes with an AI-generated title, meta description, table of contents, H2-H6 headers, intro and conclusion, and a custom call to action. Some of its notable features are live SEO scoring, Copyscape plagiarism scanning, and a proprietary AI detector. You can even specify a tone of voice so that all articles match your brand. Plus, it syncs directly to your WordPress blog or website so you can publish in just one click.

Disadvantages: Content at Scale does not do well with short-form content. If you need a tool to write emails, essays, social media posts, or advertising copy, this might not be the software you’re looking for.

Takeaway: As the name suggests, Content at Scale helps you produce marketing content at scale – without sacrificing quality. The output is based on top-ranking content in Google so it’s perfect for businesses that aim to outrank the competition for specific keywords.
