🧠 This Week’s Brain Food 🧠
For someone prone to distraction, the to-do list was my religion.
Every morning, I crafted the perfect list of tasks, each neatly checkboxed in my favorite app. But despite the mini moments of satisfactory box-checking, something still felt…hollow about my productivity.
A friend suggested a different approach: “Write down three things you want to be proud of by sunset.” It seemed fluffy, but I tried it. And the results were, frankly, powerful.
Instead of “Complete Q4 forecast,” it became, “Develop content that makes your readers feel heard and understood.”
Rather than “Post on social media,” it became, “Start a conversation your community wants to engage in.”
The shift was subtle but inspiring. My days became less about checking boxes and more about having an impact.
My morning now begins with one question: “What three things would make today meaningful?” Sure, the to-do list still exists, but it now serves the sunset goals—not the other way around.
