🧠 This Week’s Brain Food 🧠
On Friday, I received a message from my younger cousin that read, “I’ve finally made it, bro.” Back in 2010, we were both at my uncle’s place—he was in junior school while I was waiting for university admission.
I remember challenging him academically, asking questions he didn’t always know how to answer—like recalling the equations of motion (not even the proofs).
For every question that he failed to answer—he often felt dejected and sad that he didn’t know. I told him not to feel dumb and that the only way to go from not knowing to knowing was to put in the hard work.
Today, he has graduated summa cum laude in Biotechnology. This reminded me that the difference between “I can’t” and “I can” is often just persistence and hard work.
