🧠 This Week’s Brain Food 🧠 

Towards the end of last year, a friend, who is also a content marketer, and I began scheduling daily 15-minute “boredom blocks” — no screens, no input — to see if a bit of unplugging might help. 

The first attempts felt agonizing, but these short, blank spaces now deliver my most unpredictable breakthroughs. Many studies have shown boredom can boost associative thinking.

Just last week, mid-block, I finally created a six-month content strategy for my blog, something that had lingered for days. 

The golden rule is to avoid any activity that feels productive, so don’t use your phone, read, or engage in other distractions; instead, stare at a wall or doodle random shapes. Let your mind drift and defragment, and watch as surprising sparks of creativity and workable insights emerge.
