Foundation is a digital content marketing agency with a focus on planning, creating, and distributing content for B2B brands. The mission for this role is to own client retention and grow successful client relationships for the service division that allows Foundation to meet its growth objectives. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Client Services will oversee the service division team members directly or vertically and will provide counsel to the COO on how to meet growth objectives. 

The VP of Client Services will establish relationships internally by managing team members, understanding our core business metrics and knowing the ins and outs of key client accounts such that our teams are extending contracts and building long-term relationships with our clients.

What the successful candidate will be doing:

  • Act as a business leader and people manager across the entire service division with 20 + clients. This individual’s primary mission is to work closely with our directors and senior staff to achieve Foundation’s revenue growth and market share.
  • Understand and optimize Foundation’s service offering and delivery processes of all services, including strategy, SEO, distribution, brand, reporting, content creation, etc.
  • Create training and developmental opportunities and material to support the professional growth of Foundation’s team, including all aspects of consulting that lead to trust client partnerships.
  • Consult directly at an executive level of engagement with our key existing and prospective client partners about improving their marketing results.
  • Support the teams’ development of strategic solutions for our clients and manage internal resources alongside our resource manager to fulfill these strategies on time and on budget.
  • Lead team syncs to ensure successful client delivery among content and strategy teams.
  • Contribute to Foundation’s monthly, quarterly and annual business planning efforts, advisory/strategy consulting engagements, and “accountability” for the quality and business impact of ongoing client work.
  • Delivery of P/L reporting across all service division accounts along with recommendations.

What skills and experience the successful candidate will need:

  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in relevant agency/relationship marketing disciplines.
  • Previous experience within a high-growth consulting firm or marketing agency is preferred.
  • Five years of people leader experience leading direct and vertical reporting relationships of 10-15+ people.
  • Previous experience with client retention and expansion targets with meeting or exceeding those targets.
  • Experience working with clients in the SaaS and/or B2B Tech industry.
  • Solid understanding of all key digital channels (SEO, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, and other Digital services).
  • Excellent ability to manage client relationships, especially sensitive issues, and effectively problem solve.
  • Experience scaling across 20+ accounts, working with multiple project teams to achieve clients' goals.
  • Direct, focused expertise within the SaaS and/or B2B tech industries at large is optional but preferred.
  • Experience managing large, complex, multi-million dollar accounts with strategy, analytics, digital and creative components.
  • Strong experience managing the financial aspects of a book of business, including forecasting revenue, costs, profit margins, invoicing, reporting your financials to company executives, etc.
  • Experience hiring, managing, and developing a team responsible for the day-to-day execution of client programs; must thrive in building highly effective teams; possess strong people management skills.
  • Experience working with clients in the SaaS and/or B2B Tech industry.
  • Typical travel requirement of 10% to 25%, including internal to HQ, with clients and prospects, and industry events; travel will fluctuate with activity and opportunity, and at times, the requirement will be greater.
