Here’s a brief glimpse into Andrea’s personality:

What is usually playing in your headphones?

When I am working, I love to listen to CBC radio. It keeps me up to date with what is going on in the world and culture. My favourite show is “Q with Tom Power”; I just think he is an incredible interviewer! Otherwise, I like to listen to a little bit of everything: Rock and Indie being the top genres. I love 70s rock, The Killers, and my latest obsession is Balu Brigada!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid I always wanted to be a talk show host because I love talking to people and getting to know their stories and how they got to where they are today. My family would also say that I just love talking (which is probably why I wanted to be a talk show host).

What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?

Spending time with my husband and my son would be my absolute favourite! I know it sounds cheesy, but they really fill my happiness cup.

If I am not with them, I like to go for a run, sometimes a yoga class, I love taking care of my jungle (I have approximately 47 plants), and I love to cook! Anything from viral TikTok recipes to family favourites and traditional Czech dishes.

What is your hidden talent?

I would say the first one is my organizing skills. I love the process of cleaning up chaos, and that goes for both my personal and professional life. Please note I have a little son, so I get to work with chaos every. single. day.

And I think my hidden talent would also be my cooking and baking skills — my most recent baking adventure has been making lemon poppy seed loaves, the gluten-free version (because I am celiac), but it tastes just like the Starbucks version — just sayin’.

What is one of your favourite quotes?

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”

Robert Collier
