David Reilly
Director of Partnerships
Medellín, Colombia
David is the Director of Partnerships at Foundation — a role he earned by doing what he does best: growing accounts, building trust, and consistently delivering results that speak for themselves.
With a strong background in B2B marketing, sales strategy, and team leadership, David takes a hands-on, people-first approach to every partnership he builds. His experience spans multiple industries, and his ability to identify opportunities, drive collaboration, and turn relationships into long-term growth has made him a standout presence at Foundation.
Known for his steady, proactive energy, David is the kind of person who makes things move — quietly, consistently, and well. A lifelong learner, he’s embraced remote work as a way to stay adaptable, explore new places, and keep curiosity at the center of everything he does.
Here is a brief taste of David’s personality:
What is usually playing in your headphones?
My playlist is all over the map! When I’m at home, it’s Luke Kelly, The Pogues, The Dubliners…anything Irish. When I’m working, it’ll be any kind of LoFi mix. Outside of that, anything goes, from salsa, vallenato, and reggaeton to a bit of rock.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I had big dreams… of becoming a binman. Watching that massive truck roll in with a crew ready to hop off, it felt like a real-life Transformers movie. Maybe that’s what sold it for me!
What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?
Anything that gets me outdoors. Hiking, running, playing football, watching football, lakes, beaches, anything sea-related. And to refuel? Discovering new food spots. I’m at my happiest when eating.
What is your hidden talent?
I have an uncanny ability to completely clear a room during karaoke. It’s impressive how consistent I am at this.
What is one of your favourite quotes?
“Mistakes are the portals of discovery.”
James Joyce“The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.”
Henry Ford“Sometimes I start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”
Michael Scott, Philosopher (The Office)
