What is usually playing in your headphones?
Country is home base. There’s something about the storytelling and raw honesty in it — every song feels like it’s about something real. When I need energy, I switch to Afrobeats. When I need to slow down and recenter, it’s Gospel. But I always come back to Country.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A pilot. I was fascinated by the idea of being in complete control — knowing exactly where you’re going and getting there with precision. I didn’t end up in a cockpit, but that same mindset followed me into everything I do professionally: clarity of direction, attention to detail, knowing the destination before you take off.
What are you happiest doing, when you are not working?
Being fully present with my family. Everything I work hard for professionally comes back to them, so the moments I get to just be there are genuinely the best ones. A long walk helps too — there’s something about moving without a destination that clears my head better than anything else.
What is your hidden talent?
Teaching, apparently. I have a way of breaking down complex concepts so they actually make sense to people. My family is convinced I missed my calling. I strongly disagree — but I’ll admit the skill comes in handy more often than I’d like to.
