The Foundation Guide to B2B LinkedIn Marketing | Vol 269

Free Content

Welcome to Volume 269 👋

Happy Thursday!

In this week’s newsletter, we cover:

Let’s get into it.

🤝 Most B2B Brands Are Getting LinkedIn Wrong

LinkedIn has over 1 billion users — including 180 million senior-level influencers and 63 million decision-makers, all scrolling with a professional mindset, actively considering solutions and vendors.

Yet most companies treat the platform like a dumping ground for blog links and generic captions. And then complain that they’re getting no results.

The brands winning on LinkedIn understand something others don’t: it’s not only a social network. It’s a lead generation engine — and increasingly, it’s a source AI systems trust and cite. According to Semrush, LinkedIn is the second most-cited domain by LLMs, generating nearly 170,000 monthly AI citations from Google alone.

Over 150,000 LinkedIn Articles and Posts show up in AI citations with LinkedIn Pulse Articles representing nearly over a third of the cited pages.

Ross Simmonds closed a $70,000 deal from a single LinkedIn post last week. Clarify, an AI-native CRM, turned the platform into their #1 lead source in just six months. These results aren’t accidents.

Our latest guide breaks down exactly how to make LinkedIn work for B2B:

  • Why the “best time to post” obsession is outdated
  • The 40-40-10-5-5 content framework for strategic consistency
  • Hook formats that stop decision-makers mid-scroll
  • How to leverage employee voices as a compounding engine
  • The metrics that actually matter (hint: not vanity likes)

Pressing Publish Isn’t Enough. Here’s How to 10x Your Distribution in Minutes

You spent hours creating your best content yet.

An article. A podcast. Or maybe a video interview.

You hit publish, and then… nothing.

  • No shares.
  • No traffic.
  • No results.

The truth?

Your content isn’t the problem. Your distribution is.

The brands that win don’t just create.

They share content obsessively. They get seen.

They squeeze every ounce of value from every single post.

And now, you can too.

With Distribution.AI, your content shows up everywhere. No extra effort needed.

Distribution.ai is a generative AI tool for podcast repurposing and turning longform content into derivatives assets that expand reach and impact

Minutes later, you’re everywhere your audience hangs out.

  • More reach.
  • More impressions.
  • More ROI.

All from the content you’ve already made.

No more publish and pray.

No more watching your best work go unnoticed.

Just traction, visibility, and results, all on autopilot.

📊 SimilarWeb Report: The Rules of Digital Visibility Are Being Rewritten

The numbers are in, and they’re wild. A recent SimilarWeb report shows Gen AI platforms now average 7 billion monthly web visits worldwide — up 76% year-over-year. App downloads hit 1.9 billion, a 319% jump. And referral traffic from Gen AI tools reached 2 billion visits in the US alone, up 778% from the previous year.

One of the biggest headlines is that ChatGPT has officially broken into the global top five websites, surpassing Amazon. It now sits alongside Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram — the only AI platform in the top 10. Its rise from outside the top 20 in late 2023 to #5 in September 2025 is one of the fastest ascents in internet history.

Ranking of Current Top 10 websites by monthly visits

As for search behavior, the audience overlap is telling: of ChatGPT’s 462 million users, 441 million also use Google. Instead of replacing Google, as some originally thought, AI is a new layer in how people discover and decide.

For marketers, the implications are clear. Visibility now depends less on ranking for isolated keywords and more on appearing across trusted sources so AI models recognize you as the consensus answer.

As the SimilarWeb team puts it: “The winners will be those who teach AI what to say next.”

🚨 New Podcast Alert: How to Use AI With Intention, Not Just Curiosity

In the latest episode of The Ross Simmonds Show, Ross cuts through the AI hype and delivers the strategic clarity most founders, marketers, and operators desperately need. If you’re drowning in tools, juggling subscriptions, and still not seeing meaningful results from AI, this episode is your reset button.

Ross introduces the AIM Framework — a practical model for turning AI experimentation into actual business leverage. It stands for Accelerate, Integrate, and Multiply, and it shifts the conversation from “what’s the hottest new tool?” to “what’s actually moving the needle?”

Here’s what Ross breaks down:

  • Accelerate – Find your time sinks: Ask what’s slowing you down that AI can speed up. Email follow-ups, brainstorm facilitation, web research, document summarization. Use AI to build momentum, not just cut corners.
  • Integrate – Remove the friction: Identify bottlenecks across marketing, sales, operations, and finance. Auto-updating sales decks, syncing spreadsheets, and standardizing SOPs. Ross’s daily mantra: “Where is there friction, and can AI remove it?”
  • Multiply – Scale what’s working: Repurpose top-performing content, extract customer insights, expand reach. AI is most powerful when it compounds what’s already bringing value — tools like Distribution.ai make this repeatable.

This episode is essential listening for anyone who’s been experimenting with AI but hasn’t found the strategic throughline. Ross makes the case that AI should be leverage, not decoration — and gives you the framework to make it happen.

🧠 This Week’s Brain Food

As the days get shorter and colder, most of us retreat indoors. Norwegians do the opposite — and science suggests they’re onto something.

The practice is called “friluftsliv” (roughly translated as “open-air life”), and it’s so embedded in Norwegian culture that you can major in it at university. The core idea: nature isn’t a seasonal activity. It’s part of daily life, year-round.

According to health psychologist Kari Leibowitz, author of “How To Winter,” friluftsliv acts as a natural antidote to winter blues. Being in nature activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the branch that calms us down — while reducing the stress hormones that build up from modern life’s constant fight-or-flight state.

The Norwegian expression captures it perfectly: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”

As we head into winter, maybe the goal isn’t to endure the cold months — it’s to dress properly and step outside anyway.
